Story tellers say it was invented when soldiers had a stop over at a tea factory during the Qing dynasty (1644) in China. When they finally left, the workers had to dry their tea in record time. In despiration they lit open fires to speed the proces, and wood-smoked Lapsang Souchong was born. Our Lapsang Souchong is very approachable; smoked on cedar wood resulting in a golden coppery color in the cup.
Tip
It’s amazing all the dimensions of smokiness you can experience in one well made cup s the temperature of the liquid cools down to 30C and 15C.
