Tetsubin Dragon – cast iron
Beautiful Japanese cast iron tea pot, called a Tetsubin.
These tea pots came in fashion during the 17th century and are made to brew the perfect pot whole leaf tea. Each motif has his own symbolic meaning which makes them a perfect gift, the dragon represents ‘power’ and ‘good fortune’.
Today they are not only collected for their intricate design but also for the fact that it will keep your tea hot for a long time. If cared for properly a Tetsubin can last for a lifetime.
The enamelled innerside is easy to clean by rinsing with water. The Tetsubin comes with a stainless steel infuser.
