When the tea plant grows new leaves in spring, they contain the most minerals, vitamins and flavor. When a tea bears the suffix FOP (Flowery Orange Pekoe), it means that only the top 2-3 leaves of the tea plant have been used. These are the youngest leaves whose unopened leaves turn golden when processed. The leaves are of nearly equal size and fairly large.
Together with the golden buds they give a beautiful golden-black tea, in which you will find the flavors of cane sugar, toast and cocoa.
