It is useful to see what materials the teapot is made of and whether the tea stays warm. Teapots are made from different materials. At CiTea we only use high-quality materials. At CiTea we have cast iron, glass and porcelain teapots. Of course, you not only want a functional teapot, but also a teapot that looks nice. The teapots can be found in different colors, including black, green, pink, red and white. The cast iron teapots are made in Japanese style, with each motif having its own meaning. The porcelain teapots are sturdy and suitable for every household. At CiTea they are simple, elegant and available in white.

Maybe a glass teapot is something for you. A glass teapot does not release any color or taste. This teapot is easy to keep clean. Unfortunately, a glass teapot loses its heat faster. At CiTea there are beautiful glass teapots of good quality. You can even buy a glass teapot with a filter.

Tea bags and tea filters

If you like to drink loose tea, it is useful to use tea filters. At CiTea we sell high-quality paper tea filters with which you can make your own tea bags with loose tea. The tea filters are made of natural material and the box is made of recycled cardboard. You can also choose one of our stainless steel tea filters. Most stainless steel filters in our range can be easily cleaned by putting them in the dishwasher.

While most of our teas do not contain gluten, they are not produced in dedicated gluten-free facilities and are not certified gluten-free. Please check the ingredient and allergen lists carefully, and consult your healthcare provider if you have any concerns.

Most of our teas contain little to no sugar, carbohydrates, or calories. When they do, it’s due to natural sugars (like in teas with pineapple), and always less than 5% of the sugar found in most fruit juices or other ready-to-drink beverages, making them a healthier alternative. Although we offer fantastic unflavored teas, we sometimes create blends that contain flavorings. In fact, that’s why some of our favorite blends taste so great! Keep in mind that the actual amount of flavoring in a brewed cup of tea is almost negligible — around 0.001%. But if flavorings aren’t for you, we still have plenty of options. We have over 40 unflavored blends like this one… and the number keeps growing!

Natural flavors come from sources like essential oils, essences, or extracts. Artificial flavors are factory-made, without using plants or fruits. They may taste similar but lack depth and nuance. We want to confidently enjoy our own tea and showcase nature’s beauty, so you’ll only find teas with natural ingredients here.

Did you know tea doesn’t really expire but loses its freshness over time? To keep your tea fresh, always store it in a cool, dry, dark place, and ensure it’s well-sealed. To enjoy the best cup of tea, we recommend these guidelines:

• Teas and infusions with fruit and nuts: consume within 6 months of purchase.

• Pure teas: consume within 12 months of purchase.
